Set in rural Ireland during the late 19th century and early 20th century,
Caisleáin Óir is a story of childhood romance and
the pursuit of destiny.
Caisleáin Óir - The Musical is an adaptation, in
English, of the Séamus Ó Grianna novel "Caisleáin Óir", published
by Mercier Press, and is now available for
public performances. See the licensing page for more details.
Caisleáin Óir - The Musical won a prestigious AIMS special adjudicator's award in June, 2006.
Auditions for the next production of Caisleáin Óir - The Musical take
place in the Balor Theatre, Ballybofey on Thursday, 11th and Monday 15th February,
2010. The former auditions are for lead parts, with the later for the chorus. The
show will run from 14th to 19th June, 2010.
